Latest Scale boats

Our latest project is the building of MSO Hr. Ms. Onverschrokken / Hr. Ms. Mercuur A856, built as the former USS 483 an Ocean Minesweeper. The orginal schip was build from 1952-1954. In 1955 the schip was given to Dutch Marine and got a new name "Hr. Ms. Onverschrokken" with number M886. In 1972 it was rebuild as "Torpedo Trial Tender" and got new name and hull number, Hr. Ms. Mercuur A856 (Auxiliary ship). Plan is to build it scale 1:50 out of wood.

In the end of 2009 we started building this model from scratch. This is our second scale model we built from the drawing board. Fortunately the schip can still be visited in Scheveningen Harbour, so we have the possibility to take as much photographs as we like. Because there are modifications made to the ship through the years, we also use old pictures for the original parts.

The hull will be made of wood just like the original one, the rest of the model will also be made wood. We will build this as a static model. In the photo section you will find more photos about the building of this vessel.

Vedette Lance Missiles
Another project is the building of Vedette Lance Missiles type COMBATTANTE II , a kit of New Maquette. The 20 fast missilе patгol boats of thе сlаss 148 weге built in 1970-74 in Fгаnсe (C, Meсаniques, Cheгbourg) аnd Germany (Lurssen, Vegesaсk) as steel hulled foг the Jаguаr Class. Тhey were dеsigned to сounteг the сonstаntlу improving сombat advаntage of the Wаrsaw Paсt's Bаltiс fleet. The mаin аrmament is the two twin lаunchers for the MМ38 ЕXOCET surfaсe-to-surfасe missiles for employment against enemу landing and surfaсe ships, Furthermore, the two Oto Melara/Bofors guns are designеd to рroteсt аgainst air attасk.

This schip is build on scale 1:40 and will be radio controlled. We start building this model in the winter of 2009. Follow the building of this model in our photo section or read more about this project.

P49
The P49 project is the building of a patrol boat from the Dutch police. It is a Stan Patrol 2706 built by Damen Shipyard in 2006 and is currently situated in Den Helder.

The vessel is build on scale 1:50 and will be radio controlled. The building was started in 2010 and we hope it will be finished at the end of 2011. Follow the building of this model in our photo section.
